Bo (Go), Exodus 10:1 - 13:16
We will be studying the second triennial part: verses 11:4 - 12:28

Shabbat Shirah is NEXT week, not this week. Sorry for my confusion.

Greetings,

So sorry for my goofs.

NEXT week is Shabbat Shirah, not this week.

YES, we DO read the Song of the Sea in the second triennial. We read it
in every triennial

This week, our triennial begins with the announcement of the tenth and
final plague (You remember than one, no doubt). Moses tells Pharoah
what to expect. And then leaves Pharoah "in hot anger."

Then another comment to remind us that is was G-d who hardened Pharoah's
heart. Boy that reminder sure is a frequent refrain.

And then, almost at the climax of the whole plague buildup, we take an
intermission. Turns out it's time for some rules. Rules for right then
in Egypt, and rules for many many years to come. Rules about the first
Passover. And rules about all subsequent Passovers.

It takes some getting-used-to to shift from such an action story right-
in-mid-climax to the details of hametz etc.

But that's the remainder of our triennial: Passover instructions.

Well, it's a good review. April's not too far away.

Rabbi Analia will, no doubt, have more to say about this.

See you soon,
Warmly,
David
