Share some of your own justice auto-biography as we share inspiration
and deepen our connection to Justice and Judaism through one another.
Doug Shipman, CEO for Georgia's Center for Civil and Human Rights will
join us for dinner at Manuel's Tavern for an informal dinner discussion
on race and justice.
A few tidbits about our presenter: 1) I have the ability to move both
eyebrows independently and to move my ears which makes me a great hit
with 7 year olds
2) I lost my best friend to cancer when I was 16 which got me thinking
about mortality at quite a young age and has sustained my interest
in theology.
3) In another life I would be a lounge singer-- along the lines of
Sinatra, Torme, Ella Fitzgerlad or Tony Bennett (all of whom I adore
as artists)... Of course- I have no musical talent which has stood in
the way of doing it in this life (though my father was a professional
singer and my brother was a professional musician)....
Doug is a super cool human being who will rock our proverbial Olam
(as in Tikkun Olam as in Repairing the World)
